Eph 4:1-2 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

For the past few days we have looked at Paul being a prisoner and today we finish with this thought. I would imagine that the one thing every prisoner dreams of is freedom, the day they would be set free. As a Christian we have liberty, freedom in Jesus Christ, but there is also a day when we will be set free as well. Not free from Jesus but set free from this world. As a Christian we can look and long for the day that we will see Jesus, for the day we will be taken out of this world, for the day we will be set free. Our blessed hope rests in the sure and prayerfully soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His bride the church. It could be today we are set free. I often look at the clouds and wonder if Jesus will be coming on one that this or that, I often find myself looking up and waiting for His return, for the day I will be set free. Is it the same with you? Are you looking up and longing to be set free from this world. The day that every prisoner longs for is the day they will be set free.
