Heb 13:1-6 Let brotherly love continue. 2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body. 4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

I was visiting with a lady in the nursing home last evening after our service and I was reminded of the utter loneliness that many feel today. I was able to speak to this lady about the Lord and to pray with her but I could almost feel how alone she felt. I have never been alone to this point in my life. I lived at home until I was married at 21 and my wife and I have seldom been apart and then only for about a week at a time, I have never been alone as many of you have. But one thing we can take comfort in is that as a Christian we are never really alone. We have that promise in His Word that He will never leave or forsake us, we have one standing along side to help in our time of need. Dear Christian when you feel so all alone don’t forget God, He has not forgotten you. The circumstances of life may leave you all along in this world but they cannot ever cut you off from Jesus Christ. Let your faith rest in Him because He is faithful to you.
