John 2:1-5 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

What perfect advice was given by Mary in this passage, “Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it.” It is a command that is much needed today. So much weight is put on the writings and teaching of men today that most have forgotten and forsaken the teachings of Jesus, the commands of Jesus, the Word of God. How simple things would be if we just got back to the Bible and used it and it alone as our rule of faith and practice. The Bible may not be a popular book with men and not even with all churches, but it is always right and it is always what men need. “Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it.” What would change in your life today if you followed that command? Whatever it would be, it would be for the better.
