Daily Devotions

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
One key to having prayers answered on a daily basis is to be found praying in His will. How is it then that we pray in His will? Here are some things we need to do to be found praying in the will of God.
1. Be found in His Word. If God will not lead contrary to His Word, and He will not, then God will not grant us things that are contrary to His Word. Be in the Word of God.
2. Take time to seek the guidance of the Spirit of God. His Spirit is within us to guide us into His truth. Ask to be filled and guided by the Spirit of God.
3. Determine whom it is that will be glorified in what we are doing and asking. We as Christians are to do all to the glory of God. Is it God’s glory we are seeking?
4. Be consistent in prayer. The Bible tells us “Men ought always to pray”. Some pray for a specific request and then stop praying. Be consistent in your prayers.
5. Have confidence that God hears and will answer according to His will. Prayer in doubt is not prayer at all. Have confidence in the Lord.
6. Be willing to accept His will in our lives. His will may not always be what we want but it will always be best for us.
