The best way to get on your feet is to get on your knees. This preacher did not say that but does believe it. Is Psalm 5 the Bible tells us how we are to begin each new day. (Verse 3) Matthew Henry called prayer “The key to the morning”. Yet many Christians find this is what they struggle with the most, prayer. Satan knows that if he can keep us from prayer he can keep us from God. It is in the beginning of the day that we need to speak to God, to ask for direction, protection and power to serve for the day. To ask for grace and mercy throughout the day to keep us close to Him. These things we need as the day begins. It is good to pray before we sleep at night. But think dear Christian, when do we need God the most? Is it when we are sleeping or when we are awake and active? When does Satan attack us the most? Is it when we are sleeping or when we are awake and active? When can we serve Him the most? Is it when we are sleeping or when we are awake and active? When then do we need to pray? It has been said by many that the first one we should talk to in the morning is the Lord, the first thing we need to read each day the Bible. Let us direct our prayer to Him in the morning and throughout the day.
