John 9:6-15 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. 8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. 10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? 11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. 12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not. 13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

This man who had been blind from birth now had some questions to answer. How could he see? Is it really him? Who told you to wash in the pool? The Pharisees hated Jesus and now looked for a reason to turn the people away from Christ. He made clay of spit on the Sabbath, He must not be of God, He must be of Satan. But follow this man once blind through this chapter. At once he begins to tell what Jesus did for Him. He doesn’t understand many things, but one thing he does know, once he was blind and now he can see, and Jesus did that for him. When a lost sinner goes from darkness to light today we ought to do as this man did and tell others what Jesus did for us. There are so many excuses given for not telling others about Christ today that they cannot be given. One thing I would say is that Christians are just lazy and ungrateful. You don’t have to be learned man to be a witness for Christ, you just need to be willing tot ell others what Jesus did for you. On any given Sunday I will see over 100 people who will say they are saved. Yet on visitation night we will have 8 – 10 go out as we did last night. Is it really so hard to tell others what Jesus has done for you?
