Before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, And praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth:
For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. 3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, And strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, When they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: For great is the glory of the LORD.
6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: But the proud he knoweth afar off. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me:
Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies,
And thy right hand shall save me.
What brings revival to God’s people, to a church? We just finished a week of meetings and during that week God saved five souls from hell through the preaching of the gospel and the blood of Jesus Christ. That should bring revival. People prayed, the Word was preached, the lost came in, and souls were saved. I do not know about the church as of yet but this preacher has experienced revival. What a blessing it is to see that Jesus saves. The altar of the church was filled evening after evening as God’s people expressed a desire to get closer to God. Some that never came to revival meeting before came out each evening, knelt and prayed each evening, and experienced the moving of the Spirit of God. What brings revival? The saving of lost souls. I pray as people read this devotional that God’s Spirit would move in the heart of God’s people and revival would spark across this land of ours. That churches would be on holy fire for God. As many believe it may be that are nation will never again experience revival. But God’s people can still be moved with the Holy Spirit, still be filled with the Holy Spirit, still do a work for God. We have seen it this past week. Now I pray we continue to see it in the weeks, months, and years that may lie ahead.
