What should be the goal of every born again child of God can be found in these verses. Two times it is told us that Enoch “Walked with God”. Are you walking with God today? But I want to take note of the latter part of verse 24. This was the extent of Enoch’s walk with god, “He was not”. Yes we say that we are walking with God. We are saved, we go to church, we read the Bible and we pray. We may even take part on some sort of service for the Lord. But are we walking with Him to the extent that “We are not”? Does the Lord Jesus Christ have that much of you today? Few, very few could answer yes in our day. We need to walk with God to the point that we are not, that we are no longer. This is what the Apostle Paul told us when he said “For me to live is Christ”. The man that got saved on that dusty road was no longer. Now there was a new creation in Christ living for Him and Him alone. Paul walked with God and he was not. What about us today?
