Just one verse this morning. Did you, do you know that God gave His Word so we could read it, understand it, obey it, and share it? So many today try and make the Bible so deep that man cannot understand it. Try to find the hidden meaning, try to see beyond the words of the Bible. Yes the Bible is a deep book, full of the deep treasures of God and must be studied. But God did not give His Word so man would think it a mystery beyond understanding, God gave His Word so man could read and know the treasures of God. The problem most people have is that they never read it. Others try and get more out of the Bible than what it is saying. For example Rom 10:13 means exactly what it says. That whosoever, that anyone, that all, can call on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Not all will but all can. Why is that so hard to understand? Read the Bible with this truth in mind and you will get much out of it. “The Bible says what it means and means what it says”. Satan is the one who tries to make things so complicated, God keeps it simple in his Word.
