From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Things are not always easy in this world, in truth we have been promised that they would not be. Jesus told his disciples that in the world they would have tribulation and that is for the Christian today as well. At times it does seem the trials, the sorrows outweigh the blessings and the joy. But consider the words of Peter above at such times. “To whom shall we go?” Who treats us better than Jesus? Who will ever treat us better than Jesus? Who cares for us more than Jesus Christ? Who ha done more fr us than Jesus? When the trials of life seem to be getting you don just stop and think of where else we should turn, who else should we follow other than Jesus. In times like these we need to turn to Jesus Christ and not away.
