Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Is your God a consuming fire? The God of the Bible is but the God that most people choose to worship is not. This verse speaks of judgment which is a subject that most people want nothing to do with today. Most people want a God that they can take or leave whenever they want. Take Him on Sunday in the church house and then leave Him there so one can live any way they want Monday through Saturday. Take the parts of His Word they like and leave the parts they don’t. Most people never consider that there are judgments to come, there will be a time when they stand before the Lord Jesus Christ and give an account of their lives, what they have done with Jesus Christ and for Jesus Christ. Are you saved today? Are you giving Jesus your best today? Is your God a consuming fire?
