Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Memorial Day is a time to look back, a time to remember. Just like our nation the Christian has much to look back upon, much to remember. Remember the day of your salvation, those who played a part in your coming to Jesus Christ and so on. But just like our nation we then have to look ahead as well. Our leaders cannot just look behind they must look ahead, the day to remember past let us then go on as a nation. Pray that our leaders get saved and lead this nation in the path of righteousness once again. But as Christian we must look ahead as well. We can not rest in the past, we must move on. We then have one to look to who will lead us in the right paths, lead us int he way that He wants us to go, we have the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the author of our faith, but a faith that is not yet finished. Yes salvation is complete, but we walk by faith as well in this world. As you put your faith in Christ for salvation put your faith in His as well for daily living and walking in the light of His Word. Just as in salvation the choice is yours. So let us look ahead in Christ today.
