John 3:14-17
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

What happens when Jesus Christ is not lifted up? Two things, souls are lost to hell and Christian lives are wasted. The person of Jesus Christ must be lifted up in salvation. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life that leads to forgiveness of sin and salvation. The person of Jesus Christ must also b lifted up to find victory over this world on a daily basis. A person may be born, live a full life in this world, have all that the world has to offer all without having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. But when they die they will spend eternity in hell. That is Bible my friends. Another person may come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, be born again, but never really give Him first place in their life, never really lift up Jesus Christ on a daily basis. That person may live what seems a full life in this world. But they will never have in this life all that Christ has to offer and in the next life they will miss out on the rewards offered by God for faithfulness and service in this life in Christ. Both failed to lift up Christ. Yes one was saved, is saved, but they miss out on the true Christian life. Is there something that you know is missing in your life today? Then lift up Jesus Christ.
