1 Timothy 3:15-16
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Some wonder today about the importance of church and being in the house of God; Why is it so important? Important because God said it is so. There is in the local church a man called of God, equipped by God, filled by God and speaking on behalf of God. This is where we receive the Word of God, studied over and prayed over, and given through he power of the Holy Spirit. This is where the believer is to learn and grow with those of like precious faith. When we cut ourselves off from the house of God we cut ourselves off from the way God has chosen to work in this world. There are no perfect churches just as there are no perfect men but there are good churches where humble men seek the leading of the Lord and pass it on to a people willing to submit to His Word. Seek that church out, put yourself under the submission of the Word of God and learn of Him. The problems in our nation today can be traced back to the church not being given a prominent place in our society. The same can be said of the problems in our families today. It would be better to follow th plan and order of God. – Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
