March 14th, 2011 by Pastor SolleyRom 6:15- 18 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16?Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17?But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18?Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. Here is a question for you; what place does sin have in the life of the Christian? So many claim complete liberty in Christ and I do as well, but some to the point that they can do anything they want to do without offending God, o so they think. But what place should sin have in the life of the believer? According to the Bible there is no place for sin in the lie of the Christian. That includes sins of neglect, sins of thought, sins of action, no place for sin in the lives of God’s children. But what do we see today? We sin abounding not in the world, not in the lost, but in the redeemed. Is it any wonder that most people have no desire to get saved, to repent from sin, with what they see and hear from the Christian? We speak of God working a revival in this world but there will never be a revival in the world until there is one in the heart of God’s children. How many are willing to take a good look at self and put sin aside to walk with the Lord?
