Isaiah 49:8 Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, And in a day of salvation have I helped thee: And I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, To establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

This is the first full week of 2011. I wonder how all those reading this will begin the day, begin the week, begin the New Year? Will it be a year that begins with prayer, a day that begins with prayer? The Bible say the Lord will hear us in the acceptable time. What then is the acceptable time? David said He would seek the Lord early, that he watered his pillow with tears and prayers. Daniel prayed three times a day, morning, noon, and evening. Paul instructed us to follow his patter and pray without ceasing. What is that acceptable time of prayer? We need to be always giving our hearts to the Lord in prayer, always seeking His help, always seeking His guidance. But are we doing those things? Most people will spend more hours wasting time watching meaningless TV than they will talking with the Lord. What if we made 2011 a year of prayer? Might that make a difference in our families, our churches and even our nation? I believe it would but we will never know unless we are given to prayer. Let us pray, this is the acceptable time.
