Haggai 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: And I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

What is the desire of all nations? Certainly nothing spiritual in this day. But I do want to consider the desire of the nations from God’s viewpoint. There is a need for salvation, a need for Jesus Christ. Now we stand at the Christmas season when all nations will acknowledge Christ or at least Jesus. Go back in time before the first advent of Christ when God was dealing with Israel. What was their need, there desire? The Messiah to come. So God gave them all that information in the Old Testament concerning the coming of the Messiah. Then God gave them opportunity to get ready. The Old Testament record was closed and then a 400 year period of silence from God giving Israel time to get ready for the Messiah. But they missed Him, they missed the desire of their heart. Now we stand some 2,000 years later. God has given us much information about the second advent of Christ in the Bible. The Bible was closed about 2,000 years ago, God has been silence as far as new revelation is concerned. Man has been given, the church has been give time to make ready for His return. I fear man, and the church is no more ready for the second advent of Christ than Israel was for the first. I know as Christians we will not miss the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ but I fear if not for Him rapturing us out many would.
