November 19th, 2010 by Pastor SolleyJob 23 Then Job answered and said, 2? Even to day is my complaint bitter: My stroke is heavier than my groaning. 3? Oh that I knew where I might find him! That I might come even to his seat! 4? I would order my cause before him, And fill my mouth with arguments. 5? I would know the words which he would answer me,And understand what he would say unto me.
The reason Job could not seem to find the Lord (Verse 3) is because of his great trial. Job was having a hard time seeing the Lord, feeling His presence because of the trial he was ion. It was not that Job did not consistently walk with the Lord day by day. Job was a man I believe who walked close to the Lord, a man of prayer, a man of conviction, a true man of faith that he lived day by day. But this trial had all but overcome Job and the comfort he received from his friends was shallow at best. There are times in the midst of trials that it is difficult to see, to fell the presence of the Lord.
But Christian never be said of us that we could not find Him because we did not know where to look. That we could not find Him because we seldom spent time with Him. That we could not find Him because we did not seek. The latter is true of most Christians than not today. O that we might be like job. Yes there are times when we will seem to be overcome in trials but we will find Him if we have been with Him.
