John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17?These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18?If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19?If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Chosen and ordained out of the world. Think of that for a moment believer in Christ. He has chosen you out of this world and ordained you as well, put His mark of approval upon you. But for what purpose? So you can get a good education and a good job and earn lots of money? So you can train and be good at sports? So you can watch TV and play video games? So you can travel and go on vacations? Has God chosen us, ordained us for those things? Sounds foolish as you read it doesn’t it? Imagine how foolish is seems to God when Christians live their lives that way? He has chosen us, ordained us that we might live for Him and allow the Spirit of God to produce His fruit in our lives. Until we figure that out we will never completely know the joy of the Lord in our lives in this world. We will walk around frustrated with the thought that something is missing in our lives.
