Haggai 1:7-9 7? Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. 8? Why is it that some look for much and it comes to little? Because of what they look for and what they out out. So many place an emphasis on money today. They have what they consider good reasons for doing so. Provide for families, provide for retirement, provide for the good things of life. All the while they neglect the house of God, the things of the Lord, the spiritual side of life. In the end they suffer for it. There is no spiritual joy in their lives, no peace of God, no real contentment. What if they put as much into spiritual things? They will not have as large a back account, not so many toys to play with, not the newest car or the biggest house. But they will have the joy of knowing how God provides and takes care of them and they will know what it is to walk with Jesus. God will make more of that one, give them more, provide for them more than that one who set his eyes on this world.
