Daily Devotions

Matt 10:9-149 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

I was thinking of this portion of Scripture as we were returning home after knocking on doors last night. At almost every door we were greeted by smiles and the people accepted the tracts. A few said they would like to come to church. It was a very good evening. One of the others teams said even those that refused to take the tracts were very nice about it just saying they attended another church. There are times however when no one seems to welcome us at the door. Those are people and home that we continue to pray for but the dust is off our feet. We do our part when we try and win the lost, try and witness for Christ, try and give people the gospel message. The rest is up to God. But I wonder how many Christians have dust on their feet. Are your doing just your part for the Lord?
