Mark 1:30-3330 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.
31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.
32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.

We seldom see into the home of the apostles but we see here into the home of Peter. It must have been an exciting time to have Jesus visit his home. Peter was now saved, I would think his wife as well, and now Jesus was coming to his house. At that time his mother in-law was ill. Notice the first thing that they did. (Verse 30) They told Jesus. That should mark our homes as well. That Jesus is an invited guest and that we turn our problems over to Him. Not just our problems but all that concerns us, all that concerns our homes needs be turned over to the Savior. If He is able to take care of our soul for eternity couldn’t He then take care of our home for a time? Is Jesus a welcome guest in your home today? Do you turn your home, your life over to Him?
