Ps 73:23-26
23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Christian, we are continually with God, or more to the point He is continually with us. (Verse 23) Think of the depth of that statement. God is continually with us. His eye is always upon us, His mind always concerned with us, His protection always surrounds us, His provision always sustains us, His direction always there to lead us. Our God is continually with us. All we need do is continually turn to Him. But that is the catch is it not. What is easy to say is not always easy to do. The world has conditioned one to look to self for help, to look to others for help, and to even look to the government for help. It is only when one is in an utterly helpless state that you hear advice to pray. What if one were to look to the Lord first instead of last? What if one were to make Christ our first choice instead of the last? What if we just believed and acted upon Psalm 73:23. Make this a “what if” day. He is continually with us.
