20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21 Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
We take great care in asking the Lord to stand with us and not forsake us in time of trouble. We lean hard upon that promise when in need. Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. But do we realize that we need the Lord at all times? A storm may not be blowing, the sea of life may be calm, but we need the presence of the Lord in those times just as much as we do in the troubled sea. No one lets a ship go without someone at the helm. No matter how calm the sea may be that ship will drift off course. No one lets a boat alone without first making sure it is tied down or anchored securely. No matter how calm the water that boat will drift. Christian we need the Lord Jesus Christ at all times. Yes we can take comfort that He will not leave us in the storms of life. But we need Him just as much when the sea is calm. Lean upon Him, follow Him today.
