Job 19:21-25
21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
22 Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
As one reads the book of Job it is easy to miss why Job was able to go through all those trials and still bless God, still serve God, still stay faithful. Yes it was his faith, we know that, but faith in what? Notice in verse 25 what Job knew by experience and by faith. Job knew his redeemer was alive. Job had a personal relationship with Jehovah. It is one thing to know there is a redeemer, it is another to know the redeemer, Job knew the Lord. Job also knew that his Lord, his Savior was coming to this earth. Job by faith believed in the coming of the Lord in the latter day. A true belief in the Seconding Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will do much to sustain you in the trials of life. Jesus is coming again and that might very well be today. What a blessed truth that will help keep you going on for the Lord.
