Ex 3:1-4
3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.How often do you turn aside from the world to see spiritual things, to see God? Moses was busy with life, yet he turned away to see God and then to serve God. We tend to keep our eyes on the world today and never look to God. People turn their eyes to sports, to movies, to whatever glitters. But all is not gold my friend. Did you watch the super bowl? Are you watching the Olympics? I am not condemning for that but what did your pastor preach on the night the big game was on or last light for that matter? Most can remember the score of the game, or who won the gold but not what the message was in church yesterday morning. How many or how few is better look to God today, how few turn aside to see.
