Zech 12:10-1110 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Verse 10 in the text this morning takes us to the time when Israel shall look upon Jesus Christ. The time when they realize that Jesus is the Messiah and the time they turn to Him, to the time of salvation in Israel. Notice then verse 11 and ask yourself why the mourning? It brings out an element of repentance that is often lacking today, sorrow of heart. I do not believe there can be real repentance without mourning. When one realizes that he is a sinner and turns to Jesus Christ it brings mourning to the soul. Mourning for what he has done, for what he has been and for how he has treated Jesus. There is a joy unspeakable and full of glory that comes for sure with Jesus Christ. But repentance does bring mourning as well. Where is true repentance today?
