14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.With the weather here in PA turning so cold I was thinking of the world cold in the Bible. It is found only 18 times but these last times the world cold is used speak volumes to the heart of man. People are so cold toward spiritual things today. Even those who claim to be spiritual.
It is winter here and that presents another problem as people go out. But I wonder how many who stayed home from church yesterday because of the cold and winter will stay home from work today? How many will tell their children no school today, it is cold and there is snow on the roads. How many will skip doctor appointments, not go to the store, just stay inside today and really all week and say it is cold. No they will be up and about all week. Yet next Sunday so many will look out the window and say it is cold and the roads are bad, the Lord understands.
The Lord does understand the heart of man in these last days. It is cold.
