10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.Here in this part of PA we will be dealing with the first real snow fall of the winter. About 5 inches in my driveway this morning. How beautiful it was to walk outside well before dawn and look at the new fallen snow. Everything white and perfect, the only tracks made by Ace (Our dog) and me as we walked along. Something so beautiful about a new snow.
It does remind me of sins being washed away and being made white as snow by the blood of Jesus Christ. Step back and think of how beautiful a believer is in the eyes of God. Just like a new fallen snow.
But then the work starts and soon as we move that snow we begin to complain about it and at times we even dread its coming. Never let it be that way about salvation in Jesus Christ. I know so many professing Christians who complain about Jesus, the church, their lives as if they are trying to move a mountain of snow. Salvation is a beautiful thing, Jesus a beautiful savior. Step back and look at the beauty of the Lord. Step back and look at the snow.
