24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”The LORD is my portion”. Is He? There was a great deal going on around the prophet Jeremiah. Israel had turned away from the Lord and replaced Him with the world. The people had a rebellious heart, they desired the things of the world more than God, replaced God with idols, refused to heed the Word of God. Because of this God was judging. Jeremiah was a witness both for God and of the judgment of God. This greatly discouraged the prophet. What was his answer? He made the Lord his portion. Is He yours? If the Lord is your portion there is no living in sin, no walking away from the things of God, no standing with and in the world. You will make a stand with God for He is your portion. Let the Lord be your portion.
