1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:Paul had a conflict for this church and the one at Laodicea. (Verse 1 above) I believe it was over their walk in the Lord. (Verse 6) Christian, if we know the Lord Jesus Christ then we should walk in Him. In other words be knit to Him, be joined to Him, walk in Him. Is that what you will do today? Many want to spend time with Him in the morning, or at night, perhaps both. But then during the day they walk their own way. During the day they care little of what Jesus would think of what they are doing, how they talk, where they go, who they are joined with, what they think and so on. They claim the day as their own and then ask Jesus to guard them through the night. They rise in the morning, make a wish list out of prayer and then walk their own way. Is that what we are to do? Is that what we really ought to be? According to our text we need to walk in Him. If we would be faithful to do that, walk in Him, it would solve many of the conflicts in our lives today. Walk in Him.
