Heb 4:10-12
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Let us labor to enter into the rest of God. How many professing Christians fall short of that rest today? I met a man in the hospital yesterday that fell short of that rest. He gave a good testimony of salvation but he lay in that hospital bed with a body ravaged by the effects of alcohol. Tears ran down his face as he admitted what a mes he had made of his life and how he needed the Lord. He is one who has never labored to enter into the rest of God. Never lived for Jesus Christ. I pray God give him the grace and strength to start living a life for Jesus Christ, for him to labor and enter into that rest.
Christian are you laboring to enter into the rest of God? Do you labor to read your Bible and pray each day? To speak to God and allow God to speak to you? Do you labor to be in church when you can, when the doors are open? Do you labor to separate from the world? Do you labor to keep your fellowships what they need to be? Do you labor to witness and be a testimony for Christ? Christian do you labor for the Lord? Or are you drifting in the world?
Labor to enter in.
