Daily Devotions
October 21st, 2009 by Pastor Solley2 Cor 5:14-1714 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
What is it to live for Christ? For most the words commitment, devoted life, changed life, dedicated life are words they hear but that is all. But why live for Christ, why the changed life, why the commitment? Think about what He did for us. Someone gave His life for you, someone shed His blood for you, someone left heaven for you, someone went to the cross for you. Someone lives for you today so you can live with Him. Christ has done much for you and for me. Is it then asking too much for us to live for Him? Not die for Him, live for Him. Why is it so hard for us to give up the world to be in church? Give up sin to live for Him? Why is it so hard for us? Remember things were not easy for Jesus, He had to fight His way to the cross. But He did it for you today. Is it so hard then to do even a little thing for Him?
