And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith , wherefore didst thou doubt?
And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.Peter at this point was a man of little faith according to Jesus. Doesn’t it seem at times as if our faith is little? That it cannot carry us through the storms and trials of life. Cheer up friend, little faith can grow in big faith. Peter at least had the faith to step out of the ship and go to Jesus. That little faith allowed him to walk to his savior, to cry our “Lord, save me”, to stretch our his had and grab hold of Jesus. That little faith saved him, and that little faith grew.
Use that little faith to look to Jesus, to walk to Jesus, to cry out to Jesus and to grab hold of Jesus. When you do watch as that little faith grows.
