Josh 1:16-18
16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
When you decide, like the children of Israel in verse 16, to do all the Bible commands you to do don’t be surprised to find others who will rebel as we see in verse 18. I am not talking about the lost but the redeemed. Not every child of God has the desire to obey God and His Word as they should. It is not enough that they will not obey, it seems as if their aim in life becomes trying to get others to follow them in disobedience. Or at least to ridicule those who try and please God.
Be of good courage is the face of this. Stay true to the Lord when others will not. You will find that God with strengthen your stand, you will grow in faith, and you will find the peace and blessings of God.
