Tim 3:10-14
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution .
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; There seems to be a lot of famous people dying lately. Actors, singers, pro sports players and the like. It always causes me to wonder at what most people feel happens when one dies. As Christians we know that if these people believed as they lived they will spend eternity in hell and the Bible tells us by their fruits we shall know them. Yet when the Christians stands up and sounds a warning of sin and judgment to come they will suffer persecution even as Paul did. Tell someone today where Michael Jackson is right now and you will be called judgmental and unloving. Yet the even men and seducers wax worse and worse. A huge sendoff for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center as I have heard it called. A celebration of his life. And yet what did that life bring and what did it get him? And many a re deceived into thinking he had a good life and a good ending. Noting could be more of a lie.
