1 Cor 11:23-25 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
KJV
We have been given the Lord’s Table so we will not forget what Jesus Christ did for us, what He went through for us, so we will not forget the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on that cross. Jesus is the only way of salvation and we have been given something to help us remember so we will not forget. We would never forget something so important, or would we? I received notice yesterday that I had forgotten something very important and I had to be reminded. How could I have forgotten I do not know but I did. Time, other things on my mind, other things I had to do, whatever the reason, I forgot. It should never be that way with our salvation in Jesus Christ. One may be saved for many years as I am, still we should never forget. One may be occupied by work, family, friends and so on, still one should never forget. One may be overcome by circumstances of life that cannot be avoided, still one should never forget. Never forget what Jesus has done for you dear Christian, never forget.
