Ps 16:1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
KJV
We have looked this week at steps that lead from verse one in Psalm sixteen to verse eleven and in this last step that we will look at this week we see that we need to stand firm on our one and sure foundation, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ps 16:7-8 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.) The first step as we saw on Monday is salvation in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ there is no life, there is no joy, there is no security. Being born again is the first step. Then we must ask for grace and strength from our Lord to stand firm on that sure foundation which is Jesus Christ. Satan will do all that he can to move us away from Christ, to try and shake us so that we do not stand firm in our Lord. Jesus will never leave us, never forsake us, never toss us away so, Satan attacks in ways to move us away from Him. We will face many trials and heartaches in this life, we will wonder why many times in this life, many things we will not understand while in this world. But one things for sure, we have a sure foundation. Never believe the lies of the Devil, never allow the Devil to shake you, never allow yourself to doubt that sure foundation. Make Jesus Christ your counselor and stand firm in the Lord.
