52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
KJV
How quickly life can change, even it seems like the blink or twinkling of an eye as the Bible says. One word from a doctor today, one call informing you of a tragic event, in one instant our lives can change seemingly forever. But none of the changes in this world are permanent ones, only temporary. The change in our reading this morning is a permanent one that was secured when one placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone for forgiveness of sin and eternal life, we shall be changed. When that change takes place all the changes in this life will over and one will be forever with our Lord. (1 Cor 15:53-55 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?) Are you waiting for that final change this morning, do you long for it today? If not trust Jesus today and the changes in this life will lose their sting and you can look forward to seeing your Savior face to face.
