Luke 5:30-32
But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Are you glad that Jesus came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance? We stand before God in need of salvation because there are none righteous, no not one. But praise God that Jesus Christ came to call sinners to repentance. And if all sinned then who has Jesus called to be saved? According to the words of Christ, He has called all to be saved. What a blessed thought to know that Jesus Christ came into this world for me. And if He loves me enough to leave heaven, to give His life and shed His blood for my sin, then He loves me enough to care for me in this world as well. At this time of year most think much of the saving work of Jesus Christ as they should. But let us always be thankful that Christ Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. This will help us give God our best day by day because if he loved us enough to die for us then he loves us enough to live for us. Do you love Him enough to live for Him?
