July 31st, 2026 by Pastor Solley2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
1 Thess 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Exceeding and great are the precious promises of God. The greatest being the promise of eternal life to all who believe, repent, and turn to Jesus for salvation and forgiveness of sin which secures life eternal in heaven with Him. Now we see in the promises above that Jesus is coming again to gather all who have received Him as personal Savior to their heavenly home. I often find myself gazing up into heaven as the apostles were doing looking for Jesus in my mind, knowing that the promise of His Second Coming is as sure and true as the clouds in the sky. I listen for the trumpet and the shout that will be heard by all who have been born again. I stand in view of our blessed hope. (Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;) If you are not waiting for these promises today then come to this one without delay. (Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ; Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.)
