2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The promise of a heavenly home, a mansion to live in for all who trust in Jesus to forgive their sin, wash that sin away with His blood that was shed for all on the cross. Salvation in Christ brings eternal life and a mansion in heaven and one of those mansions is for me! Did you know that Jesus before He made Himself known in this world as the Savior was a carpenter who grew up in the home of a carpenter? The Bible tells us that Jesus does all things well and that would include all that He made and built with His hands as a carpenter. With that being said I wonder how perfect our mansions will be in heaven and the answer is absolutely perfect. I have worked for a time as a carpenter and even was able to build the earthly house we live in with much help from family and friends. As I look around this home I see imperfections, remember wrong measurements, materials wasted because of wrong measurements, bad paint jobs and more. That will not be so in heaven because Jesus, who does all things well and in whom is no imperfection, is building my mansion. What an exceeding great and precious promise.
