Revelation 22:16-20
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

We give greater weight to the last words of people. People need to have a “Will” made up so others know their last wishes, their last words on a matter. Here we have the last recorded words of God. Notice again the importance of the local church. (Verse 16) It is in the church that God has placed those whom He has called and ordained for service, for the preaching of the Word of God. Yes this is speaking of the local church. Not all may be well with the church in the world today but it is still where we need to gather to hear the Word. Seek out that God honoring Bible believing church and be a part of it, that is still the plan and program of God. Then you need to humble yourself before the Word of God, not seek to change or add to it with man’s thoughts and ideas. Then we have God’s final invitation in verse 17, that “Whosoever will” may come. God wants you to come to Christ today, God wants you to be a part of His church, His family. Follow God’s final words on the matter.
