Job 23:8-10 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

What an encouragement and blessing to know that there is one who always knows the way that you take and that following Him you can come forth as gold. Most of us today depend on the GPS to take us where we want to go and most all of the time that rout is correct but that is not always true. Some years ago we were on vacation in the mountains of Taiwanese and while driving to our rented cabin the GPS said to turn right at the next road. As we arrived at that stated place we were met with a huge homemade sign that said in bold letters “Your GPS is wrong! Continue to the top of the hill, this is a private drive.” What to do, trust the GPS or the homeowner? Continuing to the top of the hill we found the GPS had been wrong. That has happened many times as I trust my GPS. But when I trust in my Lord and Savior, when I trust in His guidance and direction I have never been given wrong direction. Why? He is the one who truly knows the way that I am taking because He has always will go before me.
