Ps 119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Ps 139:3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
Prov 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

In order to walk upon the path that leads to a more perfect day and to pass that path on to sons or daughters three things are needed and all of them are provided in the verses above. We need a guide, we need a light, and we need one who is acquainted with the path that leads to that more perfect day. Jesus is the guide that points out the path we are to follow in His Word. (Ps 119:35) Jesus gives light to that path He sets us on. (Ps 119:105) And Jesus knows all about us and surrounds us with His protection, presence, and knowledge as we walk on His path. (Ps 139:3) As a father could one walk a better path, leave a better example for our children and grandchildren to follow? No father is perfect but the one who can place us on the path to a more perfect day is and we need to follow Him and His Word, then we leave a good path to follow.
