I passed through an emergency room registration area yesterday on the way to visit a friend who had been assigned a room and the truth of the above verses came to mind as they often do at such times. People were waiting for and needing treatment and before such treatment and help could be found they were asked several questions. What is your name and address? Do you have health insurance and what type? Do you have your ID and insurance numbers? What is your address, are you here alone, have you been here before and more and more questions to answer. I am sure all those questions are important and need to be asked and answered. I am also sure I will hear no such questions when I call out to my Lord and Savior for help in time of need. A lost soul crying out for forgiveness and salvation hears no such questions. A weary and tired child of God crying out for rest and peace hears no such questions. One in need of wisdom hears no such questions. One in fear and doubt hears no such questions. When we need help it is wise to go to doctors, to hospitals, to emergency rooms and I do the same. It is wiser still to call out to our Lord and Savior for He is not going to ask questions, He is going to help. (Matt 11:28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.)
