1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
KJV
Are you looking and waiting with confidence for the sure return of the Lord Jesus Christ this morning? Were you yesterday, will you be tomorrow? To be confident in this passage means to be ready for His return because we have been busy in the work of the Lord, we have been walking with our Savior, we are in fellowship with Him. So many who claim the name of Jesus cannot say they are ready for His return because so many things have been left undone. If Jesus were to return today could you say you have done all that you could, all that you were able, all you know you should have done for Him and in His name? That is the first step in being confident and the first step there is to be born again. Are you sure you are saved this morning? If not there is a way you can be sure and it is to place compete faith and trust in Jesus along to forgive you sin and give you eternal life by grace and faith in Him alone. It is good to be confident.
