Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

We arrived back home again last evening after attending the funeral of the Pastor where our daughter and family are part of the church there in VA. Pastor was 83 years old and had been battling cancer for a number of years although still preaching until just a month ago. The above verses tell one all they need to know about that good man of God as he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior and he was active in the work of the Lord until he was delivered into the presence of the Lord. I wonder how many of us could say the same, that we are active for the Lord and desire to remain that way until Jesus tells us it is time to rest and welcomes us into His presence for all eternity? How many can be confident that our works will follow us and there will be a reward waiting for us in heaven? May we all have the testimony of knowing Jesus, serving Jesus, and remaining faithful and in the work of the Lord until the end.
