KJV
As I grow older and as we see the curtain on this age of grace about to go down I think more and more of the account I will give before my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For what will I be called to give an account? Several things are named in the Bible. I will give an account for the words that come out of my mouth. (Matt 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.) Do those words daw others closer to Jesus or drive them away? I will give and account. My life, if I have received Jesus as my savior from sin and how then I have lived for Him. (Rom 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.) I will give an account. The ministry I have been entrusted with by God. (1 Cor 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.) I will give an account. Those are just some of the times the word account in found in the Bible and I will give an account of many more things as well including the time I spend in prayer, reading my Bible, being in the house of God when the doors are open and so on. There will be an accounting one day, are we ready to give an account even for what we did or did not do yesterday?
