Ps 118:23-24 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
KJV
What will make this a day you can rejoice in this morning, a day you can be glad about all day? Many tragic and sad things may take place in your life today and in the lives of those around you, yet we still have this proclamation “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Some things to rejoice in during difficult times. (1) His mercy is new today, new everyday, and will carry you through this day. Lam 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (2) Our God is faithful to stand beside us through every difficult time in our lives and is there to help in time of need. Heb 13:5-6 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (3) When we call out in prayer our God hears and does answer.
Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (4) When we are brought through trials we do come forth as gold. Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Today is a day that no child of God will go through alone and that is something to rejoice about.
